Make sure you have your pet’s documents when traveling internationally and returning home to thePhilippines. Allow yourself plenty of time before the trip to take care of your pet’s required medical care and paperwork documents.

Your first step — Visit Your Vet’s Office

If you are traveling to the Philippines, tell your veterinarian about your plans as soon as possible. Together, you can make sure your pet is healthy enough to travel and meets the requirements for exportation.

Required Minimum Vaccination for Dogs:

  1. Rabies
  2. Canine Distemper
  3. Infectious Hepatitis
  4. Leptospirosis
  5. Parvovirus
  6. Parainfluenza

Required Minimum Vaccination for Cats:

  1. Rabies
  2. Feline Herpesvirus
  3. Feline Calicivirus
  4. Feline Panleukopenia
  5. Feline Leukemia

Requirements for Your Pets Leaving Japan

  • For Filipinos: BAI MC 43 Annex A
  • For Foreigners: BAI MC 43 Annex C
  • Notarize at the Philippine Consular Section or a Koshonin Yakuba (Notary Public)

Important Procedure

Below are the procedures for bringing pet dogs and cats to the Philippines. Please read carefully and follow each steps accordingly.

  • Click the “Submit” button once (single click and NOT double click). Double clicking may result in an error. Press the Refresh the button if the page does not proceed to the next page.

Complete the pet details and attach the scans of the required documents 1-7

After submission of application, wait for 3 days for assessment.

  • If status is Approved: Print the 3-page SPSIC.
  • If status is Rejected: Read reason for rejection and re-apply using same account.

A: The Philippine Embassy in Tokyo, the Philippine Consulate in OsakaNagoya can notarize the Affidavit of Undertaking or any local notary public. For foreigners (non-Filipino Citizens), notarization is not needed.

A: Please check the Japanese Animal Quarantine Service (AQS) website for the current and updated requirements on exporting animals from Japan.

Make sure your furry friend(s) is healthy enough to travel by air. If you have any doubts, consider leaving them with a family member, trusted friend.

With careful planning, your furry friend(s) will arrive both at its destination and return home healthy and safe.
