In honor of the resilience, successes, and contributions of Filipinas to national development, the Department of Agriculture (DA) vowed to provide more opportunities to women especially in the agriculture sector during the opening ceremony of the National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) 2023, March 6. Kadiwa ng Pasko provides affordable and quality agri produce

The Kadiwa ng Pasko will carry on even after the holidays to serve Filipino food producers and consumers nationwide. President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., confirmed this during the opening of the Kadiwa site in Valenzuela City over the weekend. The President added that from the 20 stalls initially opened, there are now 350 Kadiwa sites nationwide providing quality, safe and affordable produce. Rice farmers nationwide to receive more fertilizer aid

Following the directives of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the Department of Agriculture (DA) is gearing up for the efficient distribution of additional fertilizer assistance that will support rice farmers nationwide. Senior Undersecretary Domingo Panganiban convened the Regional Executive Directors and Rice Program coordinators of the DA-Regional Field Offices (RFOs) on November 10, 2022 to discuss the program updates, guidelines, concerns, and ways forward. In line with the strong commitment of the national government towards achieving food security, the Department of Agriculture through the Bureau of Plant Industry (DA-BPI), launched the Green Revolution 2.0: Plants for Bountiful Barangays Movement (Luntiang Ani ng Mamamayan) on October 26 at Rizal Park in Luneta, Manila. The Green Revolution 2.0 is an initiative of the Department, which seeks to improve the nutrition of Filipinos by increasing production and supply of fresh fruits and vegetables in the urban, peri-urban, and rural areas.
