（水産資源保護法施行規則第1-2条第2項）
上記の水生動物のうち、以下の（1）または（ii）に該当するものは輸入検査の対象となります。
- 生きている水生動物（人間が消費する生きている水生動物に関しては、公共の使用のために水に保管されているもの、または公共の使用のために水を直接水に排水する施設に保管されているものに限定されます）
- 生きていない水生動物（加工されたものを含み、栽培に使用されるものに限定されます（魚粉と魚油を除く））
（注）人間が消費する生きた水生動物（特にアワビ、カキ、エビなど）を輸入後、出荷時まで一定期間保管する場合、当該保管場所で水を使用する場合施設は下水道に排出されるか、十分な滅菌後に排水され、これらの水生動物は輸入検査の対象外となり、輸入承認を申請する必要はありません。したがって、輸入者は事前に水産物安全局に問い合わせる必要があります。
