The Office of the Agricultural Attaché (DA Japan) is the representative office of the Philippine Department of Agriculture in Japan (www.da.gov.ph).   The Office is supported by two full time staff:

DA Japan seeks to promote trade and investment in agriculture, agribusiness and agro-industrial business.  It serves as the resource and assistance center for Philippine and Japanese doing business in agricultural production, marketing and promotion of food and drinks.  It links buyers and sellers to the global food value chain in which the Philippines strives to position itself as a major player using innovative and smart digital technology.

It taps technology, knowledge and expertise that support productivity and income increase of farmers and fishers including ecosystem development that nurture incubation, agripreneurship, innovators, start-ups and commercialization of mature technologies towards a sustainable and inclusive global value chain.

The establishment of a DA Japan website, with funding assistance of the Asean Japan Center (AJC),  supports enterprise development by integrating Farmers Cooperative Association (FCAs)  and MSMEs to the global food value chain for profitability as well as protecting livelihood in the Philippines and advancing consumer welfare in Japan.
